new ideas

I want to do a series that allows me to study the difference between seeing something in a movie and seeing it in a still photograph. For instance, you're watching a horror movie so you are expecting someone to die. When it happens in the movie, you may not be too shocked, but my breaking it down into seperate stills, the end scene may be even more shocking. I'm not talking about just doing horror movies. I want to break down romantic movies, comedies, dramas, and even action movies. I want to see if i can get the same reaction to the movie as i do the photos and/or which is more effective at evoking emotion. This project will be ongoing, meaning I will continue to work on it for months, if not years, after i begin. I may even have my friend Christine Zuercher help me out because she loves both film and photography. I haven't talked to her about it yet though. We'll see. This is going to be interesting :)

purify

The obsession with being pure. what is the extreme it can lead to? The tea bags represent the mild obsession and the red represents the point in the obsession when it occurs to the sufferer that their own blood isn't pure. How far will some people go to be considered pure and beautiful? Too far.

Character Photography

Character 1: Wren.

This project is going to be so much fun. I'm going to portray any character that pops into my head. Good times.
